Installing Tomcat in Plesk 10.x and 11.x Date Submitted: 11-26-2012 If you want to run Java applications on your Linux server with Plesk installed, you need to install Tomcat on your server. This might require you to access your server using SSH. See Accessing Your Virtual Private Server Using SSH or Accessing a Linux Dedicated Server Using SSH for more information.
Follow each of the procedures below to install Tomcat on your server using the Plesk Updates and Upgrades installer. It is not recommended to install Tomcat, using Plesk, on a server with third-party repositories installed. It's best to install Tomcat on a clean install of Plesk and CentOS.

If you get a yum error installing Tomcat
yum clean all
yum -y install yum-utils
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
yum-complete-transaction -y
Continue typing the command yum-complete-transaction -y until you get a message stating No unfinished transactions left.
